This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments the technique challenge is using the bargello technique.
You cut strips of paper and off set them to create a new design. To create my background I cut strips from Designer Series Paper with diagonal stripes. I cut a few strips from the side, then from the bottom of the paper. Then I lined them up to create a sort of chevron pattern with the stripes. Super simple, but really cool!
Be sure to visit Hand Stamped Sentiments to see more great creations from the design team! I hope you'll accept the challenge and they the bargello technique this week, then share your work with us!
Thanks for visiting the little blue room!

Chevrons & Christmas?! I think I'm in HEAVEN!! Great use of your DP!
Rachel, I love that awesome chevron pattern you made! You're a crafty genius :)
You did a great job with this technique. Love the Bargello background and the simplicity of your card is stunning.
Love how you used 1 paper for the technique. Great card!
Really cute and really simple! Great idea to cut from different parts of the paper. And I make Christmas cards for months 2 at a time so almost everyone gets a different card:-) The only drawback is when they tell me they loved my card I usually have no idea what they got, lol!
Love the card!!! GREAT JOB with the DSP!! Amy
