Painting the Town

I took a month long class online at Feeling Scrappy.com called "Painting the Town." It was great! I dug out all of my old paint I had stored from when I had time for crafts other than just scrapbooking and had so much fun playing with paint. I haven't finished every assignment with all of the wonderful techniques I learned but I wanted to share some of the creative ways to use paint on scrapbook pages. Enjoy!

Silly Santa
The Christmas paper by DCWV was perfect for this since it looked like it was already painted!
I added the white acrylic paint behind the photos, then covered a journaling stamp with green paint and stamped it right on the pictures and paper.

Dad
I used a masking technique on this one. I placed the KI Memories lace paper on the background paper and painted over it with a dark brown.

{learning, growing, trying to be the best} ME.
I painted chipboard twice with two different colors then after it dried I sanded it to give it a weathered look.

Love Him
I used blue painter's tape to tape off an area and painted the pink stripe in the background.

Roots
My favorite of the month! These are my favorite pics of my mom and youngest daughter. It took forever to cut out all of the fun details from other scrapbook papers but I love how it turned out. I added deminsion and texture using puff paint on the little dots on the flowers.

Bye bye Kisses

I traced a large circle and used pink acrylic paint to freehand the circle.

So This Is Love

It is hard to see in the picture but I used red paint on a stamp and stamped it on the transparency in the bottom right corner.

So many great ideas and lots more I still want to try. Did you know you can make your own embellishments using puff paint! I can't wait to work on a page using the masking technique and a bottle of spray paint!

I hope you were inspired to get creative with paint. Thanks for taking time to check out my latest creations. :)
