Welcome to the UStamp with Dawn and Friends!! 3rd Anniversary Celebration Edition 2012 World Showcase Blog Hop.

If you have been following the Blog Hop from the beginning, you have just checked out Melissa Stout's awesome 12x12 layout. Didn't you just love that she put it on canvas?? Melissa is called the Stamp Doc for a reason. She really knows her stuff and is a FABULOUS Designer! She always creates something AMAZING for UStamp with Dawn and Friends!! events!!

If you are just joining the Blog Hop, no problem, you can start at any point. All the Designer's Blogs are linked together so you will be able to see ALL the FANTASTIC projects we have for you.

Scrapbooking is my FAVORITE paper craft, my first love! I enjoy giving albums as gifts and creating them with my stamp club group. The only problem, I never know how many photo spots to include or if they are using horizontal or vertical photos. With the type of mini album I designed it is easy to create as a gift or with a group. Since you are just making the covers and title page tags there is so much freedom and versatility for how many photos you can include and horizontal and vertical are no longer a problem!

Here's a peek at a few of the title page tags inside the album!

I used around 100 wallet size photos in mine!
When my husband saw it he said, "I thought this was a MINI album!" I replied, "A mini album that can tell the WHOLE story!" I wanted something that wasn't going to limit the memories I could include and this turned out perfectly! I hope you enjoy!

Random Cuteness

We made cute mini albums at the stamp club meeting this month.
Photobucket
I made these by cutting up old cereal boxes, mac and cheese boxes, granola bar boxes, pretty much any box I got my hands on. Then I ran them through the Big Shot using the Top Note die. I choose some paper and cut those using the Top Note die and adhered them to the chipboard base.

We also recycled spiral wire from old spiral notebooks. We punched holes using the Cropodile and threaded the wire through.

My daughter said I was "going green" because I was reusing so many things but really I just like saving green. :)

I titled my mini album "Random Cuteness" and filled it with random photos of my kids.

Notice the square scallop punch in the pictures? I used it! I cut the squares diagonally and slide them behind the corners of a few of the photos as photo corners. So there is one idea.
I'm really looking forward to seeing every one's ideas for using the scallop square punch!

Bind-it-All...

My sweet husband bought me a Bind-it-All for christmas. I'm so excited to have this fun gadget!
The first item I bound was the LOVE word album I made in January and never actually bound.

I cut the book out of chipboard using my Cricut.

LOVE Album

I'm so excited that I cut this book out myself using my Cricut! This is how it looked after I cut it. I used chipboard from the packaging of scrapbook paper. The Cricut did not cut all the way through so I still had to handcut a little but it was still much easier. I was even more excited when I realized I didn't have to cute each letter twice by hand. I simply cut the same ones 3 times. It was so fast and easy! The hard part was picking paper! I ended up using a really fun kit I won on Feeling Scrappy. The kit is from the Storyteller's Club called 2 Cool 4 Words. The colors were fun and the kit had some fun embellishments I knew I could use on this project.

My muse showed up around midnight and I didn't want to scare her away so I stayed up until 4:30 am working on this! I'm really happy with how this turned out. I haven't bound the pages yet but this is how it will look all together.
